TELL A KELLY runs out an easy winner in todays Del Mar Debutant (GR 1). Look for our Ontario bred TAPIT colt in book 2 at Keeneland and located in Barn 47 and selling on Friday September 17th. See our Keeneland sales page for pedigree. Tell A Kelly (f, 2, Tapit--Evrobi, by Tabasco Cat), well back in the early stages, kicked into gear in the stretch and streaked home a five-length winner. The chestnut, coming off a local maiden win Aug. 15, was a 9-2 chance, and completed the seven furlongs in 1:23.05. Favored Wickedly Perfect (Congrats) settled for second, with Rigoletta (Concerto) finishing third. Lifetime Record: 3-2-0-0. O-Ike & Dawn Thrash; B-Karen C West (FL); T-John Sadler.

Making a charge from the back of the field SANDRA LA BELLE put in a furious late charge to get the money in the last strides. This evening at Woodbine BEST OF THE BESTS (IRE) had his third Two Year Old winner. The latest star is CHARMING BEAUTY who wired her foes to win at even money. Every time I am around Woodbine there is a trainer or an owner or as happened yesterday a jocks agent who go out of their way to tell me about another nice BEST OF THE BEST (IRE) two year old. As the saying goes where there is smoke there is fire. So far that seems to be holding true.
