The Sales Agency

Beginnings

After years of experience running the agency business for Windfields Farm, Bernard found that it was a natural progression to head up his own sales agency under the banner of Cara Bloodstock Sales. With a consignment of horses from some great owners and breeders, Bernard’s agency business was off and running with its inaugural session at the 2008 November Horses of All Ages Sale at Keeneland. By the end of 2008 the Sales Agency had put 35 horses through the ring for 12 different owners.

The Sales Agency: 2009

Despite the tough market, Cara Bloodstock Sales was able to top the day two session of the 2009 January Horses of All Ages sale with Harlequin Ranch’s stakes winning mare VESTREY LADY selling for $US300,000.
